Find the light

July 25, 2012 by Sarah

Over the weekend I lost my 22 year old cousin. And while I really didn’t want to blog about it, it feels more authentic than to not. Because the reality is, that this blog has become just as much about life as it is about work. And like it or not, life is full of ups and downs I cannot avoid.

After all, we all feel moments of darkness in our lives. We all have moments when life overwhelms us with pain. But the important thing to remember is that even in moments where it feels pitch black, there is always a flicker of hope. It may not be something we can see or feel, sometimes we can only trust that it is there.

A wise man once said that darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. So while it may feel like I’m stumbling around in the dark, I have to stay focused – and find the light.
